Quirk Projects were thrilled to be approached by ACMI, to work on the world premiere of the The Future & Other Fictions exhibition. Co-curated by Amanda Haskard (Gunai/Kurnai), Chelsey O’Brien, and futurist film maker Liam Young. This captivating exhibition brought together film, videogames, contemporary art, and interactive media to imagine the futures we may one day inhabit.

Our team played a key role in the fabrication and installation process, providing expertise in carpentry, CNC Machining, metal fabrication, and upholstery. We used wood, acrylic, steel and fabric to craft custom seating and other bespoke elements that brought the designers’ vision to life.

Collaborating on projects like this re-affirms our passion for working in the art space, particularly with innovative institutions like ACMI, helping creative visions materialize is what drives us forward.
